Python Metal includes a number of wholly metal-made bearings, their main work surfaces being composed of a cylindrical sector in contact with a plane. This enables the device to support tolerant behavior toward the deviations from parallelism, between the horizontal planes where it is placed, around a horizontal axis.
Side surfaces are formed, as in other bearings, from sliding planes and directional guides for horizontal movements.

Depending on ther type and gauge, the bridge bearings can support vertical loads with values between 800kN and 20000kN simultaneously with horizontal tasks between 300kN and 3000kN.
